No such thing as not meant to be…

As humans we have an incredible ability to convince ourselves regarding the meaning of life. If something doesn’t happen we say it wasn’t meant to be but all too often it’s an excuse not to delve into the truth of the matter.

Before we begin I must confess to coming from a philosophical and even mystical standpoint which has sometimes opposed both scientific and psychological evidence causing me to question this very point. Actually, in the end I have found philosophy and mysticism to end in the same place as science and psychology but that’s another blog entirely.

The very reason for writing this piece, is that I thought there may be others in the same conundrum and wanted to share my findings.

There are varying degrees of interpretation on the subject with the truth residing somewhere in between or perhaps at a certain point specific to each of us. I shall start with the unanswerable question that preempts the subject; is there a God or benevolent force, that is (continuously) guiding us to our highest expression of self? The truth is I’m not sure. What I do know however is what I have previously interpreted as signs were actually invitations to delve deeper into my own course of action and behavioural habits.
